PocketWizard for Canon - FINALLY!

oic... hmm... have to wait for the nikon version in Q2. was actually deciding bet PW and elinchrome skyport series. my china-made radio receiver is a wee bit flimsy...

Go for it lah, using PW quite a while .... many bros especially strobists are playing with it, some even had 4 pcs and above. The only problem is the availability of the product. Because bought in US, my lightmeter have to be purchased from US. :( ....

Just do a price difference, actually there are no difference at all. I then to find the local shops sell more ext then overeseas. It is similar to buying oversea with shipping and conversion cost. If you have friends from oversea, ask him to get for you. You can cut down the price by hundreds. Even better, wait for the greenback rate drop, it saves even further. But there is a catch, no local warranty. ;)

The frequency knowledge is gained when I play RC. Which most of the racers preferred FCC to prevent frequency clash and it tends to be stronger so that the car doesn't lose control during the race. :)
I don't think FCC or CE would be any different in the case of PWs. In RC cars, there are many racers using the same frequency band so people used FCC to help avoid interference. In the case of the PWs, how many PW users are you expecting within the same shooting venue? It is also not specified that FCC PWs will have a further working range than CE PWs. In fact, according to the review, if you are using 580EX II, 580EX, or 430EX Speedlites, the FCC PW's range will be reduced because of RF interference from these flashes. The CE PWs are not affected.

Yes, there is no study or information, that either one is superior than others. I do see photographers from overseas do used PWs for covering events, but in Sing it is rare. The only time I sat it in use locally, is a picture showing a female photojournalist using it in a soccer match.:)

Hi for those getting the new PWs.....B&H had started the pre-order. :)

Finally! Luckily I hold on to the Plus II. Now can get a few sets of these. Great stuff bro!

I want to get some, but by the time I can, it's possible I've enlisted already -.-.

I think have to wait until after BMT :(.

I'll be in HK in March and May. Not sure if they will be available then?

My understanding the first batch will be released in US on 1st of March. Canada and European countries will follow after. Asia side no news heard. Had pre-ordered the stuff from US. Can only ordered one set due to busting my credit. ...... There is an low price given.....Mini $196.65 and Flex $218.95. Not significant but better then nothing.

Will be conducting certain tests on the product to determine its performance. Hopefully, I can receive the first launch of the product. Base on my understanding, the world are ordering them, especially the strobist contingent.

Thanks bro. I'll try HK in March and May and see if they will bring them in. If not, then no choice but to place orders.

Understand. For my case, I'd rather go for CE first. If really no choice, like HK don't have, then I'll go for US ordering. Don't like to buy locally, as price all jacked up a lot!
