I am ordering both. As what AReality had mentioned Mini is a transmitter and Flex is a transiver. Although, I can use Mini to trigger my 3 PW Plus 2, flash settings have to be done manually. I need the Flex to utilitize the ETTL function of my EX580II. When you are into strobing, you would like to have more control with your flash system. Controls using current PW had limitations - Manual.

Maybe in future, I may purchase a Flex with Nikon hotshoe and use Control TTL on them. :think: .... It is fun to trigger different brands of flash at the same time. :bsmilie:

Please don't underestimate the Mini.
Although Mini only a transmitter. It does served a certain purpose or else why PW created it. As mentioned before, I can use Mini to trigger older PWs. Because, of its small form factor, it is easier to carry. And I can see some photographers may like to pair it with their other PWs.

Oh btw you guys may consider Flashwave, it is smaller than Mini and has hotshoe which can fit any flashguns. However, the trigger distance is shorter.

For my config

The MiniTT1 does NOT cost more than the FlexTT5. Estimate prices are US$199 for the MiniTT1 and US$219 for the FlexTT5.

Price is negligible between the Mini and Flex, although size and function does. If I want to ignore the size, I'll go for 2 Flexes instead of 1 Mini and 1 Flex.

Frankly, I'm just excited about ETTL radio triggering from PW. Everything else is chocolate sauce .

That said, I wouldn't mind having them work with my elinchrom studio strobes.
