How to improve the colours if we are shooting against direct sunlight?

UV filter? GN filter? Post Process? Step down to f2? Fill-flash/reflector?
Just throwing out the possibilities.:bsmilie:

just like the photo, the Zaku is straight out of the box - no touching up! :)

your toy photos a bit out of focus but like the blurry background.

end of the day for Mr Sun. me too! shot this at a traffic light on the way home from work.

Not sure if the color came out right after slight post processing, but some tiny flowers from the FA 100mm f2.8. Bokeh ok?

The 1st 2 are Lantanas. A bit hard to tell the bokeh due to the size. But I recall FA 100mm to be smoother/more creamy.. Maybe cause of the size bah.

Edit: U try playing with auto level, it should help^_~

Edit 2: This is what I got with a bit of PP (Hope u dun mind)

Nice shots as usual. These lensbabies looks like really fun^^ I'm thinking of making a DIY for fun:sweat:

these are using f2, f2.8 or f4 ?? i use f2 and its hard to get it sharp on the focused part...

hi longko, thanks.. how to make diy? :) when i back in sg must grab some closeup filters to try.. i think lensbaby is good for macro in its own way.

flowerpot - should be f/5.6.. second largest ring available. don't think there is f/2.. unless you refer to not using any aperture ring.. this is v2.0.. :) anyways, absolute sharpness is a pain in the ass to get with LB.. unless you are really really sharp eyed. :) i don't think these are absolutely sharp.. but sometimes we place too much emphasis on sharpness, i feel. i have never seen a properly sharp Henri Cartier-Bresson photograph yet, but all of them are beautifully done.. :)

istdes - maybe the gundam is too far away and the long saber is not making it any easier to photograph. try closer up hehehe... like shown in the website link by longko. use of double tone, b&w etc... need to experiment to find out.

soma - the wounded leaf seems out of focus slightly...

n86m - i like the b&w #2. privacy in the centre of a bustling walkway courtesy of the hsbc advert sign? #3 - what is the message on the paper in front of the man? dog for food? ;p

hehe, yes, i wish the legs weren't cropped though.. but shooting with lb, while fun a bit stress, you try to attain focus more than anything else.. so you end up missing some stuff..

not sure, but this guy, my friends talked to him once.. he loves that dog. sometimes when he has some food, he gives it all to the dog and goes hungry.

Ya lensbaby will be nice on macros, that's why I'm interested^^; Correct me if I'm wrong, but lensbaby concept comes from Tilt-Shift Lens. Pentax did make 1 long ago, but never made another^^;

Here's a DIY guide;
http://blog.dennisonbertram.com/hackmaster/2005/02/tilt-shift-pc-lens.htm

I'm going to try mod it a little so it can be attached on a reverse k mount. Front lens will be a Sigma 28mm macro I guess.;)

n86m - plain vanilla street scene is no fun issit? must add lens baby to be more challenging? ;p what the secret of effectively utilizing the uniqueness of the lens baby?

anyway, seriously what technique you use to get such impact in your street photography? what are the stuff you look at, composition etc.

i thought the largest is from f2 onwards even for v2.0 :think: f2, f2.8, f4, f5.6, f8 no ?
ya sharpness pina with LB... i should change to a smaller aperture...

closeup filters 37mm if u can find them, else is the dedicated LB marco kit...which imho cost too much...

I wish they were all holding Pentax cameras ;p. Taken today at PC Show with K20D + DA*16-50 + AF-360FGZ.
