i like the way your photo shows the different "mood" of your dog.
esp this one above with the nice bokeh. the eyes of your dog are so expressive.

it is never easy to shoot animal and to get them to pose for photographs. maybe can share how it is done. i am sure there are a lot of pet owners out there who would like to share your "secret". :)

Thx^^ U must be a pet lover to understand so well^^

The "secret" is toy, treats and sounds^^ Dog tends to be very alert to new sounds, so they'll give different expressions. You normally have a few secs to capture that moment. Also using area focusing on the eyes, so the eyes tends to be sharp.

The "Bokeh" backdrop can be achieve with photoshop lol The cleaner ur backdrop the easier it is to get natural like bokeh.

Also take shots at eye level or below eye level. Compose with rule of thirds^^

Hope these are helpful to u. I did share more at vietpet (Vietnam Pet forum) If u like u can read the post by ZeeK10D here http://forum.vietpet.com/showthread.php?t=2551

Thank you NoMoney and Ikequan for the comment.

A trio from Penang trip in March; all taken with K100DS + FA 50mm
('tis was before I got my DA 21mm, alas!)

1. Some decorative clay slippers for sale at a night bazaar

2. Candles in a temple

3. Along a five-foot-way

Not a pet/animal photography type myself, but your dog shots are always very eye-catching!

Thx for ur kind words^^

MiTao - Shih Tzu (This dog had a sad past, she was abused badly and a breeding stock. Now she's being loved by her current owner dearly.)
