1stDes,

I am giving the lens a run:bsmilie: The subject is dull in color and hopefully I don't degrade the lens with my pictures. Bokeh is nice even at f8. Sharpness is there and nice bokeh at the aperture. Two of these lens is available NOW .... next four days.....ebay;)

They are nice attempts. You can jio longko and pick up some pointers from him.:D I don't have so much to spend on these lens.:cry::bsmilie:

How come the EXIF says 300mm instead of 200mm? Did you input 300mm for Shake Reduction? You'd better change it to 200mm next time when you mount the lens on :). The inputed focal length is the actual focal length of the lens, not the FF equivalent one。

Nice shots btw, a bit too small though.

This one taken with rear teleconverter 1.4 pentax. Tks and much to learn here.:)

Taking tutorial from Longko...on macro

Two shots 100 % cropped. A200 macro with 1.4 rear converter, with flash and diffuser(demp flash)-soften the subject. Bees taken about 3 ft above.

Perhaps, we should have a thread dedicated to Macros? I am sure we all want to learn from the experts!

Yup.. we should have a MACRO outing Also hehehe so we can learn from the Experts... :)

otc bro, you shots getting sharper^^ Here's a little editing I did hope u don't mind^^;

1. Try keep at 3:2 ratio, it'll look more like a photo. Also if you wan to send for printing, you can do so;)
2. Use the rule of thirds to crop and recompose your shot.
3. Don't be afraid to sharpen and color adjust the your shot. As photolab is important to flim photography, post editing is important to digital photography;)
4. Try to take better magnification so you have more pixel to enhance and when u down-size a sharp image you'll have a sharper image^^

Here's what you'll get with a little quick edit. Will show u how to do it when we get to meet^^;

now i have another lens to think about, im getting poorer by the day :cry:

The 14MP of the K20D is really impressive...100% crop still shows so much detail.. i think the non crop version does not show the full potential since our screen most probably only show 72dpi...

i think if we were to print out the photos on 240dpi we would see the true beauty of it...:thumbsup:

Sometimes 14.6mp does make a difference :)

Here is a quick AF test on my LCD screen (K20D+DA35 wide open, handheld JPG):

And 100% center crop:

You can see all the pixels' detail there :cool: Wonder how much better if I used a tripod w/ 2 second mirror up :bsmilie:

Cheers to all!

Truly Impressive Pixel Peeping. I'll be picking up my K20D this weekend. Recently had pictures from my K10D printed in high gloss at 300 dpi @ 8x12" : quality is very good. Can't wait to print from K20D.
