Hi... I used a Canon tripod that comes free with a canon videocam that I bought some time ago. It's lightweight and easy to carry around, especially while travelling. Japan in June should be nice... I went in August last year and it's the peak of Summer there... almost as hot as Singapore!
I see. thanks. Seems like I may need to buy a cheap and light-weight tripod to bring along.

Those chairs at T3 are very comfortable. So where is the 3rd musketeer? the FA31.:)

Very expensive chairs if I remember the news reports some months back.

Talking about the FA 31mm, actually held it today. What can I say, simply beautiful and the test snaps were sharp and the contrast was super snappy. But waiting for my FA 20-35mm to arrive so I think I've spent quite enough. Maybe if the stock market recovers a bit. :bsmilie:

BTW your pictures are super cute. Must go there and see it in person.

Kit Lens? Whoa, I was there over the CNY and did not really have the chance of seeing it in this perspective.. which Tea Plantation did you go to?

Hello, I'm newbie here and fairly new to dslr photography although I've been using PNS camera to take reference pictures for my art (I paint watercolours)

Soon, I got hooked with photography after using Olympis C4000 and Panasonic Lumix FZ20. Thanks to my painting buddy and fellow Pentaxian, Tiong78's recommendation, I bought K10D with kit lens and with limited budget, I opted for FAJ 75-300mm zoom lens from CP... that's back in August last year. Here are some of my photos...

Nice flowers :)

Went there with the family on the second day, but didn't take many photos (the kids and wife were not in good mood due to the crowd and hot sun :() ...

K10D with FA77 F1.8

Excellent shot, Lai. Great lighting, composition, and beautiful model too (you are so lucky I'd say ;)).

The FA77 is indeed an excellent lens. It's not just good for portrait alone, a great landscape lens too :)

Was passing by Botanical Gardens, and thought may as well use my DA70mm ... As I was walking down the pond, and found the lights on this colored leaved shrub. Thought it looks really and captured it with the DA70mm. What was really a morning for flower portraiture ended with LEAVES...

I really like the bokeh it produces.. and of course, not to mention the sharpness. Again, another wonderfully constructed (and compact as well), and sharp lens by Pentax's primes!

Makes me wonder what if it's a limited MACRO! :bsmilie:

All DA pancakes are excellent performers, but the DA70 is probably the best one among the three imo :)

Nice shot btw.
