Okay, I'll help you. Here is the photo you tried to post:

Looks nice :)

Maybe this is a newbie question, but the bokeh looks very interesting. Is it because of the lens used?

I shoot this monkey with the FA50mm @ F1.4 and very closed up which made the background very "far" therefore having this bokeh.

Kit lens can have a shallow depth of field but not as nice as the FA50mm.

Glad that Pentax made this lens as it was really value for $$$.

Fengwei, very nice photos of your daughter! :)

NoMoney, clean shot of the monkey. A minor comment: the ear in the foreground seems a bit blurred.

I am sooo tempted to get the FA 50/1.4...a week ago, I almost bought this, but diverted the $$ towards a Manfrotto 190XBPro+486RC2 instead. I am struggling to decide between the DFA 50/2.8 Macro, FA 50/1.4, the Tamron 17-50/2.8 and the Sigma 18-50/2.8. I'd prefer a wide angle for landscapes and the 50 maybe a bit too tele for me, but the price to performance ratio is sooo tempting. Whatever I buy, it will be my last major purchase for atleast 2 months, so I need to think carefully. Decisions..decisions, and no $$$!

Here is a shot taken a couple of weeks ago in Raffles City. Managed to take 2 or 3 from outside the window, before being asked to stop, by the store owner.

Noted. Anyway to correct this? Can it solve by re-shoot or I should change a angle.

Now I am saving up and hope to grab a walk around lens. Hope to have a longer tele end and best with Macro function so that I can shoot human and insects :bsmilie:

But till now, I have no target in mind as I am lack of financial backing as my sch is starting on 15th OCT. :(

The long and narrow road.

NoMoney, the stone monkey is sharp and nice and given the large aperture, the slight OOF in the ears is fine. More of concern is that I see what looks like diagonal banding or moire in the OOF areas on the left side of the frame (to the left of the monkey). BTW can reduce your pix width so we can see it fully without having to scroll.

You should not get this banding. Did you shoot behind a glass panel? If you continue getting this, go get your camera checked.

I thought the same thing also. But looking carefully again, if I'm not wrong it is an OOF cane chair or furniture behind.;)

Nice. Is it the punggol rd towards punggol end?

Thanks bro. No it is Upper Pierce. Hint, see the monkey in the middle? :bsmilie:
Yeah now that you mention it, yeah that does look like OOF cane furniture. Old eyes. :sweatsm:

Thanks istDes and no problem Creampuff. Will take note of that.

This monkey was located outside Highlander (Cafe/Pub, not too sure). The furniture (Tables and Chairs) they used were made of cane. :)

Btw, your upper pierce picture is very nice. Haha... I always cycle to there or the Upper Seletar reservoir for my relax session :)

Thanks. wasted most of my shots and time because of hot spot issue with the FA50mm Macro I was using (not so IR friendly, just like the DA16-45). Fortunately managed to use the Sigma 28mm to salvage a few nice shots. This was one of them. Shot handheld, no cropping.

Oic. That's great :)

Maybe one of these days we shoot around but I don't have the IR filter. So can only shoot the ordinary landscape. :bsmilie:
