nice birds..
tell me about it..

of course, small birds are nice and cute.

i tried to take pictures of those beautiful butterflies at my place and nearly puked blood..:o

-giggles-

how on earth did you manage to take those magnificent creatures.. :dunno:

For butterflies, try to shoot them early morning or around evening time where they are less active. Daytime is like you have to chase after them. Can check with Longko, he is good with butterflies and insects macro.

Birds especially those in botanic gardens, don't have to chase after them, they'll come near you. A good place to start off.

Brids shots from botanic gardens.

Massively cropped leh.. That's why I had to bum the 70-300 macro.

Need to be patient.. Quite a long of things to take note, e.g. no bright clothing, must test if they are comfortable, no sudden movement.. 300mm is pretty easy to shoot with actually. =D

Nice shot as usual. You've got the best out of the kit lens :)

Remind me the days when I was there (I stayed in SC US for 1.5 years). Went to the Smokie Mountains several times, a very nice place to hike for a day or two :)

Just got chance to test out the A100/2.8 macro lens:

It's quite windy when took these shots, actually the lens is capable of taking better ones ...

Luckily he looks more like his mom instead of me. A very beautiful boy, isn't he ;)
