It is in shiny silver, there are a lot of reflections especially lights from the shops nearby.

testing shots with K10D + F*300 + F 1.7x TC

i am no good at handling the combinations:bsmilie:. used MF, f/8.0, 1/1500s.

just to confirm,

1)after mounting the TC, the camera will ask you to enter the lens focal length?
2)The lens name under the exif file will show only as A Lens?
3) The max apenture for 300 f/4.5 is f/8 when using the TC?

1. Yes, it's because the TC isn't fully compatible with the current dSLR cameras. Some info can't be passed through.
2. Same as above
3. 1.7x TC would have about 1.5 stop loss of light, that's why your F4.5 lens became a F8 (1.5 stops slower than F4.5) on the reading
