Seems your macros are getting better and better

Got the chance to test out my Pentax K20D yesterday. All taken with the 18-55 DA kit lens. I like the Pentax's colours. So nice!
It took me some 30 mins to get use to this camera. I hope I have more time with this beauty, but sadly have to pass it on to a NGO soon.

Excellent captures! Never got chance to shoot NDP show yet. My wife said she might be able to get some tickets for the coming weekend. Don't know if I'd have chance to see it in person ;p

First Pentaxian I met in Beijing. Her name is Jessica, from France.

Sure thing. Will be meeting up with her for weekly outings when possible, I just started a new group here. With a few Canon and Nikon users as well. Here are some of them taken last Saturday at 798 Arts area in Beijing.

That is nice arthur. You found some kahkis.

Got a new old lens: Tamron Adaptall 90/2.5 last week. Did a quick test run this weekend when I brought the kids to Bukit Batok Nature Park. Had a lot fun walking up and down on the hill, didn't really take many photos due to the mosquitos and light rain.

Here are a couple of testing photos from the lens:

Some shots from an event in Port Dickson over the weekend. Ironically, I feared damaging or losing my K7 as I had quite a handful of stuff to bring there already (I did lose a tripod in a previous event due to all the juggling of inventory :( ), so I used all my 'old' stuff.

Always the incredible sharpness and contrast from your photos. Must share your secret technique. :)

BTW, what is the f-stop you used? The background is nicely blurred off while retaining subject sharpness. (or was the background quite far away?)

Thanks. I can't remember the F-stop used, but should be somewhere between F2.5 to F4. Most likely the stop in between (there is a click stop from F2.5 to F4, don't really know what stop it is). The background were some steps just behind my son. W/ a 90mm lens at this distance, you can isolate the background very easily.

Thx, istDeS. Ok, no more "pei-seh". Here are a few more attempts.

#1. Found a bird nest with young chick. Gone after 1 week.

From Day 2 of Cosfest.

Very cloudy day, hence not as much contrast as yesterday. Tweaked PP for a more dreamy look with the soft filter. Shot with the K135, naturally.
