First one seems sharper. Creative! Do you have to find the specific angle to get those colours? I noticed them on CDs before, but never thought of capturing them.

I was also wondering what the base was. This is so IDEA!

I like this, very nice and clean look. Mind sharing how to make photos so 'clean' like that? Was it like this out of the camera already? sorrie so many qn :embrass:

Hi Hamustar
Thanks for viewing and compliments.
The sky was quite dark with lighting from the radar tower and sky far away.
I only adjusted the contrast a bit from the end result. The setting as followed :
f10, shuttle speed 30s, iso400.
WB = daylight
the exposure wil be around +1.3 to 1.7.

Actually tried many settings and managed to settle with this one ;)
good luck

oh, i got lazy for the second one, and handheld it, it might not be as sharp for sure.

well, you need good light, indoor lighting is not enough, basically, just note which angle where the colors appear, and then place the droplet there (with a table knife or something)... when i used my hands the droplets were so dirty because of skin cells, etc..... :)

just droplets on a cd.. :)

great idea! :thumbsup: i gave it a shot myself because i was itching to shoot something.

darren, you might want to try it in natural sunlight, much brighter, etc :) i find the colors nicer too!

but your gelled stuff is pretty cool, really smorgasbord of colors

agreed, the first shot is with 1 ungelled flash, don't have the rainbow colours on the CD, just the pink/green shade.. so i had no choice but to throw some gels on the flashes.

don't make me sad lah, i'm stuck at my internship from 9 to 6.30 everyday. don't even get a photon of sunlight. :cry:
