no promises that the outing will be on that date, will depend on everyone's schedules. if the outing ends up on another weekend, no worries.. we can always arrange for a smaller outing while you're here.

I was there on Saturday! And got the same rays as you've seen in this picture. What I didn't like was the buoys (nets) ... so I stoop much lower. Hope to see you there in the coming weeks!
My last take from LPR - I know some of you prefer the blue/orange colors, but I thought this works as well?

Since Desmond already showed off his beautiful new toy, I'd show some photos taken by it (yes, I was the lucky won to try it even before he had it).
My impression w/ this lens is pretty much inline w/ most the other owners: excellent built lens w/ great IQ, can be a bit soft at wide aperture, but very nice from F2 and slower. I used it mostly between F2 and F2.8. Here is one of the very first testing shot, just to see how sharp the lens can be at F2:

Wah, so sharp, and nice bokeh! Really makes me wonder if I want to buy one "portrait" prime, will it be this or the DA77?
