very nice, seion. but the wings are clipped.

nahh tamron 90 macro. i haven't had a chance to shoot macros with it until yesterday. it's really tiring, especially when i have to control my breathing.

i shot at about f/20 the whole time as i wanted to keep a bigger DOF for my first time out. maybe with more practice i can shoot at wider apertures to get more background colour?

darren, trying using your flashlight with the same settings or increase the shutter speed a little with the same flahlights.

Crossing

K20D Vivitar 200mm

good road safety practice to keep eyes on the oncoming traffic and not to assume that they'll stop for pedestrians.. unlike some people these days who cross roads while SMSing & listening to music, oblivious to their surroundings.

Funny you should mention it but a Malay teen got hit by a taxi just last week at this very crossing at night. Broke her legs and she was groaning with pain when the ambulance arrived.
Apparently she didn't look out for traffic and crossed diagonally while the taxi was going a little too fast and couldn't stop in time. Yeah it pays to keep a lookout when crossing.

1st attempt doggie party...Fun.

kesha, i tried your tip on using 200mm to shoot full-body portraits. not bad, but the tamron 70-300 is a purple fringing monster and not so sharp away from the centre.
