Kesha, very beautiful pictures. Just curious, has your D50 been modified or did you use an IR filter? If filter, which filter did you use? Thanks.

Nice capture :)

Seems you've been having a lot fun w/ the new DA*300 lens ;) It's a lot easier to carry around than your bigma, isn't it?

Thanks Fengwei, yes it is a lot easier to carry around....but the Bigma focussing is a lot faster than the DA*300. The DA*300 seems to always focus in all the way and then focus out, thus making it to hunt much longer ...

That's a scary cat.

Seems you like to use square crop a lot. It does work for some photos, but most photos look better in 2:3 or 3:4 ratio imo :)

The surrounding scene wasn't that great ... HDB carpark. also, the cat was very pensive and hid behind a car ... probably it had a bad experience with humans recently. no fun being a stray locally.

Reminds me of all the monks chanting scripts and rotating wheels in Sikkim. :)

thanks Felix,
This D50 has been modified to IR V3, which mean full IR.

hi fliplock, i went to a place in the mountain that is 3-hour drive from Gangtok (sort of capital of Sikkim). I went to their local zoo and caught a nice glimpse (from a distance) of the Kangchenjunga peak (at 8586m, it is one of the highest).

Darjeeling which is the popular resort, is more towards the east side of Sikkim.

we can talk about travels in a separate thread. :)
