Please advise on which UWA lens to buy.


I was also in a similar situation, and end up with the Tokina 11 - 16, since I already have a 18 -105 for my D90. I think the 2.8 is a good to have on the Tokina when i need it, while I think when I'm on UWA, most of the time I'm at the widest setting, so the short range on the 11 - 16 might not be a big issue.
 

For me UWA lens is not only for landscapes, it can be used for indoor with tide room space. So the f2.8 is rather important & useful when I need it.

This is a very valid point you had pointed out and I had never thought of that. :thumbsup:

strongly agree, that's one of the main reason i chose 11-16 over canon's 10-22, despite that 10-22 is slight better in sharpness... Coz i need it for indoor more than outdoor.

But if you're mainly shooting landscape with F8 and above, F2.8 then won't be a advantage for your consideration
