The scent was simply overwhelming. Almost like taking a scented soap bath.

While taking these flowers, I had a chance to chat with a group of senior folks who were very
into flower photography. Apparently, they came from the same photography class.
Its always enlightening to see what other people esp. from other countries approach to photography is.
Seem like more emphasis on natural light, macro lenses, tripods and they really
took their time with each shot.

Do you bring a long range lens?

Thanks :)

I usually bring a UWA, normal and short telephoto lens.
In this case I played with another arrangement of focal lengths and it took 15mm, 24mm, 43mm, 135mm,
this isn't my usual travel lens selection.
To me a 15mm (or 10-20mm), 35mm and 85mm is my preferred options.

The long end gets used the least. In fact this time, I had '0' photos with the 135mm.
Hope the info helps :)

Its always a dilemma. At times the 85mm or 135mm has served well when no other focal length would have done the job.
Typically, these would be landscapes where I need to isolate a scene or distant object, or compress prespective between subject and bkgnd.

thanks for sharing. i really enjoy the street shots.

i see. but i dont have a zoom lens. i only have 55mm the most.
I dont want to buy just for a trip.

Then don't loose hair over it :)
Just compose within the focal lengths that you have.
Its always the case that my 85mm or 135mm gets the least usage on a tour. Probably less than 5% of photos. ;)

Some more photos from MaoKong (ZhongHe Temple).

The temple is at 1 stop before the top most cable car station before MaoKong. Dedicated to LuDongBing of the Eight Immortals.

For the bus do we need to pay the exact amount or the bus driver can refund us the change.

Sorry, very bad memory. I've not see them do it, nor did I try. Its 15TWD, which isn't hard to come buy actually, there will be plenty in the pocket after some purchases :) . Even if we drop in 20twd w/o change, its only S$1. I was using their EZ-link card for convinience.
Drivers are typically very friendly, so you can try asking for change as well.

Ha..ha.. I set to hyper focus distance and snapped off.
No flash used for the night market. No need to. The stall lights are what you need to expose for and they are certainly bright enough.
