Why is it that some people like to piggy-back on others thread to show off their own stuff? Are their tiny-puny 100 x 50 version better than the TS? Don't very much think so.

Maybe I'm living in a cave, but till now, I do not really see any REAL master (and I do mean GOOD ones) going around flashing their stuff elsewhere for "comparison" sake.

Well, if A and B are good friends, I don't see why B cannot piggyback on A's thread to post just a few pictures. Saying show off is too harsh a word. Maybe they are just sharing because they go to the same shoot. If A really minds, then just tell B via PM to remove the pic lor. There is no need to create a thread on Kopitiam and hurt friendships.

Isn't "good" an individual preference? I saw one of his comments was to encourage the TS of those links you posted,
If you had problem with his photos you should post it there and say why they are mediocre by your standard and if you like to... go one step further by telling him why you don't like and tell him how it could be better and next time his photos might not bug you anymore.
Don't get so worked up over it.

Yep, that was back in 2007 when I first started. FYI, I got told to search quite a bit too. And at that time, searching for "cheapest price sony lens singapore" got no results on google. I learned quickly.
Plus, there is no A-mount lens price list in the sony forum, and at that time Sony lenses were new so there was no pricelist to search.
But i'm sure you're aware of that.
