Pictures from NEX 7, Thread III

I'm using d CV15 on my X-E1. No magenta shift issue. But it does vignette quite abit if stopped down or use ND filters. It's awesome sharp though. Very good for landscape shooting.

sadly cant use on NEX7 :-( oh well good thing I have these A-Mount lenses that would do for now... have not done landscaping for sometimes did a quick one last weekend but it informal with family so cant stay and shoot walk and shoot only

Hope the new FF NEX will resolve this critical shortfall from the existing NEX 7 sensor. Landscape shooting needs time and patience, also to travel and get the necessary filters, tripod etc... U will also need to wake up early for sunrise or just wait out for sunset... or travel quite a lot to capture interesting landscapes...

U can always switch to Fuji X body, light on both camera and lenses... LOL... :bsmilie:

I was aiming for cv12 and cv15 I guess I will have to skip those lenses for now and just use my Tokina 11-16 (A-Mount) adnd Samyang FE (A-Mount) these lenses don't seem to have very obvious purple cast

i wanted those two if i get full frame next if not 10-18 is good enough... but now cannot buy haahaha

your NEX7 bro using the latest FW? not sure if the pruple cast was address with the latest firmware other than the Movie Record Button can not be deactivated in the settings...

Dun worry, its not the firmware, its your hardware that cant handle the lens well. Anyway, the magenta shift will occur on some situations, u test and u will know by then. If needed, CornerFix and cropping will help U lotz. Do note CornerFix will soften your edges in your photo, deteriorating sharpness and details on those areas.

Thanks to all the bros here for the advice... Feeling a little "inferior" after looking at all your fantastic pics taken with vintage (read: uber expensive) lenses, especially the CVs...

Can only play with cheaper alternatives like the SLR Magic and this Rokinon/Samyang 8mm FE...

Anyway, brought the lens to the office yesterday for some uber wide angle fun...

All shots on the NEX-7.. Stopped down to F4 and focused to infinity...


Sneaked up on my "shifu" to grab a quick snapshot...

Realized it's all too easy to accidentally catch your legs or in my case, my tummy, in the shot...

Another colleague came by to see what we were doing, and I quickly turned around and snapped... No thinking, just snap... Caught my left leg in the shot...

yeah this lens is nice I like this also I once sold my Samyang FE then bought a new one again that's how I like it hehehe it's a fun lens to use
