Hehe Im no master also that's why I was looking for glow to my lux 50 seems like the Lux-M has it more than the R

yeah looking at the photos feels like it's over expose or highlights was push all the way up... I think such lens will be good only for B&W.....

Yes... Due to the positioning, the Bokeh looks abit busy, especially the Starbucks signage, but still I think it renders quite well to my liking, classic...

The glow is on the face, which is nearest to the focus point (the eyes), the accentuated glow around the hands due to the light falls on this out of focus area...

Think the lighting was beaming on the subject and also quite lotza lights in out of focus area behind her... Metered exposure was Zero though... This lens is really preferred choice for B&W Portraiture or specific B&W shots that needs the dreamy, ethereal look...

Bro, its glowing wif CA instead... LOL... Nopez, not the kinda preferred glow per say...

hahaha shot at f1.1 and at close focus... CA is quite normal lolz... if change to B&W i think it will look like glow hehe :P cheap way of getting a glow like effect....

yeah the lens characteristic is more for dreamy B&W portraits or muted/desaturated photos... try doing desaturated effect.. with this lens you wont need to clean your subject face/skin.... I think I'll stick to Lux-R 50 or maybe check out the Lux-R 35 see how it is not into glowing effect :)

will try to have a shoot out with Lux 50 and Cron 50 E55 and Series VI....

cheap way of having the glow is try pushing the highlights up and the whites up also when doing PP and use brush to soften the area of interest/focus :-)

Artificially, yes, the effect can be quite similar but u will not the same kinda character in the picture, bro. Also, u will lose quite abit of sharpness on some areas u try to make it glow on... Cheers... Original way is alwayz the best... :bsmilie:

i prefer my cv in this case cause i like smooth bokeh and sharpness more then glow

D Bokeh from CV35-1.2 asph2 ya? Yes. D Bokeh is smooth n its tack sharp bro. Too heavy for an old uncle like me. Haha. I still can get d smooth buttery Bokeh and tack sharpness on my XF35 Fujinon lens on my X-E1 too. A great lens for such kinda look.

Yupz. SEL35/1.8 has nice Bokeh and pretty sharp. Guess Sony did quite a good thing wif this lens. At this aperture, its good tat u might not need to boost up d iso too high on d NEX 7 knowing how noisy it can b on it at higher iso.

NEX7 like most sony gears very aggressive on NR... I rather do the NR via LR which is good removing most of the artifact.

Yeah SEL35f1.8 is value for money prime lens...
