RX1 is fixed lens FF, FF NEX is interchangeable camera. I dun think it makes sense to compare either of them together either. Sony if want to create a cult following, they better start making Sony FF lenses as good as Zeiss (only one that could upstage Leica) or just use Zeiss to make all their FF lenses (with AF of coz, but it will be super huge). Then it's the FF body, the sensor, the way the micro lens design to avoid any purple fringing. Better AF speed (Phase Detection sensor) etc.

Then it makes sense to price it above USD4K. Looking at the time it is taking them to make such a FF body, I guess, alot of work is underway now. Be patient and wait for the poison...

You know what I mean bro when it comes to workmanship you've own XE-1 and NEX7 how does Leica M compares to both bodies?

In terms of build quality and workmanship from 1-10. Leica M is 9.5, almost perfect. Leica M9 is 9. RX1 is around 8.5. X Pro 1 is around 8. X-E1 is around 7.5. NEX 7? Probably at 5. IMHO nia, dun flame me.

i think OMD would be on 5 in terms of build. NEX-7 confirm better than that lor.

to me , the M is below Nex-7 in terms of Weight and holding. I've never handle any M before so i duno their weight. even when OMD has better AF...i still prefer NEX due to handling.

That's what I am saying bro until then when NEX feels like an Leica and close to Leica build then I wont bite the 4k USD price tag. To be honest my NEX7 I don't think will last for 2yrs of use I feel one day it will just fall off lolz

Yes. It's 5 only. LOL. I owned it before and I am having X-E1 now. I have tested the new M. Its heavy but very solidly built. This camera can last for decades like the previous Ms (film & digital). But it's very intuitive to use, simple and just nice for my big hands to hold. Definitely a problem if you have lady's hands though. Haha.

NEX 7 is a good camera in terms of functionality and ergonomics to adjust settings fast. But simplicity of the M is great on taking shots for the sake of taking shots. The output from the M definitely beat the hell outta NEX or Fuji X, paired with the FLE which I had tested, the sample shots is stupendously sharp and IQ is awesome. U guys really must go down to test it, take some sample shots with yr SD card. Go home and view it on a good calibrated screen. Enjoy...

NEX is basically plasticky by nature. Unless they use the way they make RX1, then the build will improve tremendously. I would say, Sony having made the RX1 with such great detail and quality, it is very possible for them to make a NEX FF with the same quality and demand the above USD4k price tag. Still, whether it can rival the Leica in terms of able to withstand decades of usage is questionable...
