Bro, can u pls enlighten me about LA-EA2? I plan to buy it, but I heard some rumors saying min aperture can only goes to f/3.5. Can't be lower than that. Is that true?

Any downside of this adapter? (besides add the bulkiness of coz :-P ) thanks alot!

Absolutely untrue .... the min F3.5 aperture is probably referring to A77 video. I have been using my F1.4 lens, and 1.8 wide open using the adapter on NEX-7 .

with la-ea2 and sigma 150-500. :D

Not true lah. I went down to f1.8 with the EA2 attached with a SAL 35 f1.8.

Not only bulky but for me it makes holding the NEX a bit uncomfortable.

Thank u bro! I decided to buy! ;-)

Just gotten my nex 7 kit 1774 from Changi airport :p batt is flat now

I had to add the 100% Crop of the original pic ;)
Shot with the Zeiss 24mm 1.8, 10 second exposure F10 ISO100

I have no doubts the photo could have been even sharper. Shot without a remote and with the tripod extended to the highest level! ;)

And another from the Jurong Bird Park.... crazy bird almost ate my Zeiss! the hood was in his mouth at one point! Lucky no damage just a tiny scuff that wiped off. I had a UV filter on too otherwise I would not have tried this :P

I need to refrain myself from coming in to this thread... :bsmilie:

Please come in more often and you will get a NEX7 with Zeiss 24mm f1.8, if you have not already gotten any of these.;)

Going to get more interesting here when I pick up the 35mm F1.2 VII Voigtlander Nokton next week ;) Not to mention a 1953 Nikon 85mm F2 in Leica mount (the lens that put Nikon on the International map), a Nickel 1932 50mm F3.5 Leica Elmar (the very first interchangeable lens made that has led to current DSLRs and ILC's) ......... Ooooo and if I'm lucky, A Leica 1954 Summicron F2 and 1933 Hektor 73mm F1.9 ;)

I assume our friend knows of the NEX's ability to be paired with Leica glass and more importantly, vintage pieces? Been using my Nikon glass on the NEX but it's so damned heavy! Rangefinder glass is PERFECT!

I PROMISE you the NEX7 will end up getting more use. I have a 70-200 VR F2.8 Nikkor that hardly gets taken out.... even use my 50-500 more (and even with the NEX7 :P) I see more value in the camera body (for now)

That bird has expensive tastes! Great pic btw.
