i'm using 2 adapters. some cheap $20 off ebay, and the other is the Hawk Peng's helicoid adapter from taiwan. if i know i will be walking around and not doing any close focusing <.7m i'll use the normal adapter. Cause i always find that i'm always accidentally turning it when i take my cam out of the bag or just slinging up...
cause i zone focus majority of the time, and it's quite irritating that it's always off from the lens' distance markings

The details is a lot better than the sonty kit lens it seems. Do u like nex 7 over the gxr?

I like and use both - each has its own strengths. There are detail reviews on these two cameras as stated by follow CSers earlier.
Currently, I tend to use more on Nex7 (with m and ltm lenses) because it is easier to operate (i.e. very high resolution built-in EVF, auto HDR, triple dial control..). I use GXR for wide-angle lenses due to Nex7 magenta color shift at the corner.

Will be interesting to find out how will Fujifilm X-Pro1 handle M and LTM lenses.

A simple question on NEX 7. It has a hotshoe, does this mean that it can accept Sony's high end flash? I am considering adding the NEX 7 to overcome the 5N's weakness of not being able to accept a more powerful flash with more flexible tilting direction for "fill-flash + diffusor usage, especially without the loss of the EVF. Can some NEX 7 users here help me on this, thanks.

Yes it can use a Sony Flash or another flash via an adaptor

Yes it can use a Sony Flash or another flash via an adaptor

And to add, the EVF will auto gain when flash is mounted, so you will still beable to view through the evf.

it accepts sony normal flashes.

with nikkor 70-200 f2.8 vrii via nex-nikon(g) adapter. manual focus with focus peaking is really useful.

but i cant get pictures as sharp as yours..

i use yellow colour for peaking as i find it more obvious than white or red. also press shutter when the colour patches appears the most at the desired area of focus.

nex 7 has a more substantial grip, so i guess it makes it easier. the tri navi also make it faster to change settings i guess.
