Hi... Understand that Nex7 having magenta casting at corner when use M mount lens wider than 35mm. The photo is nice! Did you use any program like CornerFix to correct it? Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks! No I did not use any software to correct the pix - it was the original jpg file captured except downsized it using Picasa. I downloaded a copy of Cornerfix but it can only work on DNG file. I am too lazy to find way to do file conversion and kind of like this magenta casting as unique Nex7 signature
So far, I only tested on ZM wide angle lenses. I need to work on it with my Noct, 35mm/50mm sumiluxes and 75/90mm APO in the coming weeks.
Cheers!
One more pix with ZM 15mmf2.8 - tainted with Magenta color at the corners. Composed with the tilt LCD display - just like shooting with my Hasselblad 503.

Sorry that I need to use the link as my image could not be display.
Cheers!

Apart from the reason I held back was the lack of sample / user experience pix from this 2 lenses / focal lengths
Noctilux is using 15mm. Cheers.
Had the camera for 3hours to play with this morning.
Utilizing M mount lenses would have been cool, however the minimal focusing distance of .7m isn't that nice to play with.
Mounted the ZF 35mm F/2 Distagon and 50mm F/2 Makro-Planar instead to play....
Overall, a very responsive camera with an impressive almost-instant shutter-Lag
However the EVF has potential, but I still prefer the workings of a OVF
I am not sure if it was my copy, however the LCD seems to be overly saturated, not able to inspect for REDs when viewing outdoors
I wasn't able to examine the red petal in Pic1 until I loaded the pictures back home.
Here are some shots to share,

Nice photos.
You can select different peaking colors to suit. Do you shoot raw or jpec? The LCD is adjusted to show a true representation of in-camera jpec and contrast and saturation can be adjusted to your liking. I shoot raw and adjust my in-camera jpec contrast setting to 0 or sometimes -2 to get a better raw representation that I will ultimately see on my computer monitor.

Do you think Ricoh gxr will do a better job for m mount lens?
freeman85 said:Some review you might interested. Not to disappoint anyone as i feel Nex 7 is a very good camera and I like the experience taking photo together with Zeiss ZM lens. Just a head up for everyone to understand its pro n con (similar issue with Leica M8 & M9 previously).

Some guide where you can fix the issue

Thanks freeman, i do hv read steve huff review previously but i want to hear more user advice. Recently i do see some reselling of nex 7 claiming its not as what they think too.
If using nex 7 means no wider than 35mm thats basically no wider than 50mm is indeed quite limiting, and per cornerfix some conversion is required? As sony raw is also troublesome tat only capture one can do the job
Maybe i shd open a new thread to discuss this thanks

Have you seen the samples from Bro Noctilux ? If the magneta shift bothers you, it can be fixed by cornerfix.
While Ricoh has micro lens array to resolve M mount light fall off, it doesnt mean you will get the NEX7 IQ - magneta shift results. I dont have the GXR hence, cant comment , and my only m mount lens is 40mm 1.4 Voigt.
Its not surprising to see some people buy sell cameras after using for a short while. I dont know what it is that the camera means to them, but I know for sure , how this cam tick most of the boxes I need for a smaller mirrorless body.
I repost Noctilux pics below .
