It's a Leica leh... An awesome lens... really... Saw some flickr post by this lens... APO version... Simply awesome...

The Leica 100mm APO should be about SGD2500 here. I saw 2 of them at Benro 2 weeks ago.

T____T i'm just a poor guy, i grab a Sigma 30mm(cause it's really cheap compare others lens). Will shoot using that from now on...

For an APO lens, 2.5K is quite reasonable..

Sigma 30 is an outstanding performance lens considering its price... Kudos to Sigma. I only haf the 19mm Sigma for my landscape shots... definitely a keeper..

Yes~~ like he finally review it!, but true everything he said.. i do find the noise, if you turn off the camera you still can hear the noise when you shake it. But that not issue, i scare i damage the lens by walking while the camera inside my lowepro bag =)

Zachery =D! bravo~~

Thanks. But really cannot take bright sky shots wif this. Hmm. Sianz.

You will see this magenta casting from most of the 35mm M lenses, including Zeiss 35mm F2 Biogon, Zeiss 35mm F2.8, Leica 35mm F2 Summicron. It is least obvious with Voigtlander 35mm F1.2. These are a few lenses that I have tried, not sure about Voigtlander 35mm F1.4 or F1.7. In fact, any wider lenses from 35mm onwards will have this issue. My Leica Elmarit 28mm ASPH have this as well.

Anyway, you can keep this 35cron for your Leica M when it arrives in March 2013!

Yeah. My CV 35-1.7 Ultron ASPH too has this irritating magenta cast. Haha. D new M! It'll b pricey. Almost 8k if I'm correct. If d next FF NEX is half d price n works perfectly well with my CV & Cron, I might wanna get tat instead.

NEX-7 with 180mm f/2.8 APO-Elmarit-R + APO-Extender-R 2X . . . cropped at about 50%, bird's eye at 100%.

Literally, a bird's-eye view of what I was near when I shot this . . . the little "not pro enough" NEX-7 always amazes . . .

wow the lens is so sharp can see the skin texture must edit bro your model wont like that pix :P

BTW is this the M or R mount? I also have the R mount and I just love this lens really outstanding I am thinking if I convert this to A-Mount so I could fuly utilized this lens currently using it only on m4/3

ho, it's with the nex7, and the summicron (M) it's not the apo, it's the previous version (the affordable one) but that shot I also used the sel50F18 and there is not a big gap between them it's more a matter that for some picture I prefer to focus manually. I guess on the quality of the optics R and M are pretty similar it's just that M are more compact and there more easier for travel and/or carry around.
about the skin texture, I like to keep it as much as possible, to me it help keep the eyes longer on the pictures, but well I guess there are different tastes.
