How about the USSR Helios ? ...the Helios 44m4 58f2 are like the cheapest manual lens you can buy, but the results are certainly not cheap looking ! :bsmilie:

...I'm finding it hard to believe the IQ which I'm getting from a S$30 (plus shipping) helios I got from Ebay.

i have never use a cv 35 1.4 before ....though i did consider it but here is a link to the article that change my opinion Epson RD-1 Lens Report ...it is a "balanced' lens in my opinion hence i go for it. somemore it is chrome ....haha

Hi guys, I'm interested in learning some photography. Planning to start this journey with a nex5n. Coming from close to zero photography and camera knowledge background will this camera be too complicated and hard to use/learn?

Excellent choice. NEX 5N is a very simple camera to use for beginners. There is also a free course you can attend. I am sure many here can also help you if you are polite enough to ask.

Thanks for the link. You stated ISO 640 in your 2nd photo, may I know how you do that on NEX 5N?

i just type out what i see on my flicker properties...generally i just use auto-iso. i have no idea how the camera select that particular iso. :think:
