Pictures from Nex-5N

Ken, ur F1 pictures 2 & 3 the cars were not moving rite? If they were I dun know how u can get BOTH the cars and fence to be sharp. From wat I know supposed to half press and pan de camera following de car. Done properly car will be sharp, fence will be blur.

The shutter speed must have been very high. Shows how good the sensor is at high ISO

This was done with my Pentax KX and DA40 lens panning. The fence makes it a bit more dramatic. At 1/160s ISO3200

I use manual focus with shutter mode. So I guess shutter mode all r fixed.

A few shots from sat night's action, couldn't stay for shakira's performance was a shame.

#1 A noob shot. First time shooting F1, was more difficult than thought, was at grand baystand, didn't really move around to get a better view coz was with family. Panned with Nikkor 105/2.5 AIS.

Hi x0tiq, thanks for visiting! I used m43-Nikon(G) adapter (ard $40) from Pixco brand, and then m43-Nex adapter (no brand, ard $35), all from ebay. so I can use on both my Pen & Nex. ebay is possibly the cheapest source, but a bit slow.

How come u couldn't stay for shakira's concert yet u were around for shaggy's? Shakira was before qualifying, shaggy was after.

Did some test shots on friend's Leica 35mm f1.4 summilux.

Click on the link to my blog.
Cheers

Nice blog. Can you contrast using the M9 and 5N? Which one do you think you will use more and in what situations?

Thanks.Blog is by a few buddies. So credit goes to them as well.

As for the 35mm with M9, I will test these few days.

The 35lux with the NEx5n is quite a joy to use.

The Peak focusing helps quite a bit on the 5n. Especially if shot wide open. I find the focusing a little faster then when I shoot with the M9.

I think I will still use E mount lens on the 5n if possible because if auto focus. If I want manual focus, I will use my M9.
The 5n is more for shooting my kids running around. :) So I am waiting for Nex7 with the 24mm f1.8

However, It is still fun to use Leica lenses on the 5n. And I will definitely shoot videos on the 5n with the leica lenses.

Wonglp,

Love your photos with the Nikon 105f2.5 ais. Appreciate if you can take a shot of how it looks on the 5N as I intend to use mine also. I have the 28f2.8, 50f1.2 and 1052.5 all ais and am worried that they will look too large. Many thanks.

Poisonous stuff Bro Wonglp :)

I purchased this similar adaptor from ebay but still not here yet (about 2 weeks ago)

Cant wait to use my nikon lenses esp the 20mm AIS that I like a lot

The pictured adapter stated Nikon G. Does it mean that G lenses' apertures can be manupulated with this adapter? And it's so much cheaper than the one at Chiif. Is there any quality difference between this and the *bones adapters? Thanks.

Have not received so I am not sure how it works so maybe bro wonglp can answer this.. My guess is it allow some kind of aperture control through the "lock and open" ring as state from the page "With Lock / Open Aperture Control Ring to set the designated aperture." except I wont be able to tell the exact aperture so it will be a guessing game. For instance based on Lock and Open considering 100%, if my aperture is from f2.8 to f22 so roughly in the middle should be between f8 and f11.

Nevertheless, even if stuck at wide open, it is still good enough for me. Anything else is just bonus
