a bit noisy... and under exposed... i think...
but ballround pics are all like tat...

Ritz ballroom ?

ya, agreed, a bit noisy but quite acceptable for a point and shoot lah. The only other cam that can pitch against this in terms of noise is the fujy 31fd that I have.

Nope not the Ritz but Sheraton. :nono:

I prefer the portrait one... leading path

wow! this cam is really good in landscape and foodscape! (BBB)virus alert! :o

can some kind owners of LX3 take some shots at high iso and post at 100% for viewing...
seriously tempted to buy but need to know how it performs in high ISO like ISO800 etc in real life shooting...

I tin u dont wan to see it at ISO 800... For mi the noise will appear even if its on ISO 200... So for mi its most of the time staying at 80...

Yes it's that bad... I don't consider iso800 usable on this camera but other's might disagree. Maybe with some noise reduction program for very small prints or web pics online it'll be okay. Even iso 400 I don't like much. I basically set the camera for isomax at 200 and get any shots that I can with that. Luckily it has a very fast lens and a very good image stabilization program that makes slower shutter speed okay to be handheld for lower light.

I would think it is very bad at 100% crop...

can take a look. I took at iA mode, but it is at iso 800.

Not many people view pictures posted online at 100% anyway so it doesn't really matter much at 100%. But even at the 1024px wide photo zoomed down, the noise is also distracting, that's a concern.
