Pictures from LX3 for technical discussion - part II

Yeah, get a polariser filter.

May I know how much did you pay for the adaptors and the filters? Perhaps you can pm me. I am looking to get these but I am so so confused on what is available (3rd party or original).

yeah...still learning.. :) point noted that reducing the aperture may help the washed out look... but how does DOF help prevent overexposure? maybe i missing out something...:embrass: havent read fully the link tho' thanks!..another link into my favourite!
I am no expert myself. Just sharing.
You can try the 'P' mode 1st
and experiment on what settings the camera choose for you on different lighting.
Then after, you can start playing with shutter or aperture priority.

F8 at 1/125 with flash.

I tired to shoot some ants just now but just couldn't get the effect. Are you using MF and manual mode? Do I need a diffusser for my flash?

I believe the spider was taken with the aid of RAYNOX Macro Converter in "A" mode. Yes, you need to use a diffuser (a DIY will do). Without diffuser your shots will be washed out.

Some macro shots using MSN 202. All handheld, no flash, MF, A mode. I really need a tripod. I'm a noob. Advise pls.

what is the problem here? If u are taking in daylight, there isnt issue that I can see

I zoomed in all the way, still a little vignet. I think i need a tripod, otherwise slight movement(forward or backward) will lose focus on the object. Not easy for me to take handheld. Wonder how u guys did it. ;p

Wah can post pics here meh? I posted once... Kenna deleted by moderator... :(

Macro best have tripod. as for vignetting I think it is due to your tube attachment, or u aint at full zoom when u took the picture. btw I am new to digital photography and macro too.
