Picture from RX1

After the A7/R are out the RX1/R are looking more tempting than before.

Indeed a gd time to get 1... Just that zeiss lens alone is worth 1 at sgd2000 at the BnS now

I thought that my asking was reasonable, so damn cheap. But no one offered anything concrete. When I threw in all of the other stuff I no longer needed, the offers flooded in. And on top of that, some people still wanted more!

Some buyer are shameless hahah.

Just ignore those low baller bah

Yes bro... It's already a very gd offer even w/o the other items. Those r just opportunists....

i was like "WTF" when he mention ppl asking $2k include EVF or not. :bsmilie:

Ya lorz... Might as well ask for all whatever he has... Really...

Supply n demand. Guess A7/Rs r really impacting all other ff cam sales. Saw a D600 going as low as 1.5k.

Common trends. When the next higher or better version appears, A7/R will drop drastically in price too.

A Leica M9 was retailed around $10,000 initially. A mint set after around 6months command around $6k-$7k. 30%-40% loss.

A RX1 was retailed around $3,900 initially. 6mths later used but mint set is around $2500-$2700. Around 30-40% loss.

It will drop further when after warranty, and when better model appears at similar price.

For RX1, a brand new set today can be brought in from Japan at less than $2700. So a used set will be even lower, and thats what you see in the BNS.

It will be more difficult to sell as A7/R appears, as price gets more attractive, esp when A7 supplies become stable, price will start to drop, and when you see used A7 selling 30-40% loss again (resale price at $1200-$1400?) after 6mths from the initial rush to buy the first batch. Not so soon as supply is low, but it will go through same cycle like RX1.

I think there's a little too much BBB mania going on which makes people buy and dump cams quickly.

The A7 being out doesn't in any way change the fact that the RX1 takes absolutely stunning photos

And it's simply impossible (for now at least), even with the A7, to get the same high quality lens + sensor combo in the same form factor. Sure you could mate the A7R to the upcoming FE 35 f1.4 but that thing is guaranteed gonna be big.

I travel a lot on my own for work and use it as a personal travel cam. Put in in a small pouch, and it's good to go everywhere.

The pictures I get from this thing blow me away every time.

As long as the 35mm focal length is good enough for you, and size/stealth matters, nobody would turn down an RX1!

Good words, that's y I keeping mine... The interview reported s cheaper version could mean compromise on other things

I wanted either the A7r or the RX1R and pair that with the RX1 or the A7. The louder shutter and challenge with wider focal length M lenses on the A7r meant that I chose the A7 and in doing so I swapped the RX1 for the RX1R. The additional cost of either combination came up to be almost the same so it wasn't as painful as it seems selling the RX1 at such a low price.

You swapped the RX1 for the RX1R? How much was it?

Joined the RX1 family yesterday (thanks to you know who ;)), really a very lovely camera.

This is my very first FF digital camera, initial impression was very good. The white balance is pretty accurate, focusing is a bit slow but coming from Pentax I'm used to slow focusing anyway, and the lens is sssooooo sharp even wide open! As someone said above, the lens alone worth $2k already.

The camera produces very accurate colors in JPG (haven't tested RAW yet), although not as pleasing as Fuji's colors, but probably more accurate. It's good to be able to shoot freely at ISO6400.

Now my X100 black limited edition has to go (and really sorry to see that happens).
