Picture from EOS M

Nice shot and great Bokeh. I am surprise that the EOS M can capture this shot as the animal should be moving and I notice that the eos m when using with the adaptor seems to be a little slower on focusing than when it is with the ef-m lens.

Not really, depend on lens. Eg EF 40 stm with adapter could be slightly faster than EF-M 22 stm. Again, EF-M 22 is the slowest amongst 3 native EF-M lenses currently available.

EFS 55-250 lens is good for traveling telezoom lens coz light weight & sharp enough and perform very well with EOS-M

Nice shot. Which version of ef-s 55-250 are you using? Mark 1, 2 or STM?
I m curious how is the focusing sound of Mark 1 or 2 version in eos m, especially during video?

Thanks.
EF lens on eos-m slightly slower but for me is acceptable & able to capture wild animal as long not too active :)

Thanks for your feedback..
Look like gonna wait for EF-M version...EF-S STM version is expensive, while Mark 2 is slow.

If canon release EF-M lens similar to 55-250(FL & IQ) but in compact size, definitely it will replace my EFS 55-250 mk2 :D

Another one with 55-250mk2 at FL 250mm-f5.6

thank you for the tip on using the RC6. Would the remote need to be pointing at the IR on the front of the camera when pressing shutter button? I am just concerned the IR might not pick up that effectively if i stand behind the camera when using it.

Im looking at kit 2 with the the ef adaptor to be used with my ef/efs lens. Was quoted between $480-500 from some of the shops. But i am likely to getting it from canon via the privilege purchase program at about $450.

the RC6 can trigger the shutter if you are pointing the remote to the top of the camera. Does not work if you are pointing from the back though. Need not stand infront of the cam to use the RC6. Im selling a 3rd party one if you are interested.

my eosM went thru tough hardship during my recent Northern Light Chase.

Dropped and covered with snow. And yes its still working well.

Didn't use EF-M 22mm lens before but agree that it depend on lens. When tried the EF-S 18-135mm STM with adapter on EOS-M, the focusing speed is ok. When use my USM lenses (eg 70-200 f/4 IS or 24-105mm f/4), the focusing speed is slow. Think it work better with STM lenses.

Thank keyuan,

Nice capture, care to share how long the exposure you need & aperture that you use to capture this photo? :D
