looking at good overall still and video mode
from the looks 19mm not as sharp as 30mm too
am i right?

19mm is like 35mm right?
and 30mm is already 60mm is it too tight?

as compare to the popular sony 50mm e mount?
so this 50mm is like 100mm already?

Fo NEX, it is 1.5x
So, 19mm becomes 28mm

You are quoting m4/3 which is 2x

When I still had my NEX7, I choose 19mm even though reviews siad that 30mm have better IQ but I'm not that comfortable with the 45mm filed of view

Crop factor is only 1.5, NOT 2.0... 19mm and 30mm are both very sharp for different focal length usage... 19mm good for landscape shots but 30mm for street shooting mostly... So can't say if 19mm & 30mm is better than each other...

D Sony 50mm E Mount is pretty decent for a lens from Sony but still cannot compare to Zeiss & Voigtlanders lens of the same focal length in terms of quality of details in the photo taken and also Bokeh quality...

will own the lens soon! just sold my 17-55mm and flash. 7D should be next week. muahaha. oh. bought the flash for my nex-7 also. Cathay photo tried to physco me to buy 24mm f1.8..tmd. LOL say stocks just in ..4 piece only. :bsmilie:

The Sony Carl Zeiss is not bad with smooth auto-focus. Definitely better than all the kit lenses. Sharper than other kit lenses, just that it is still not as sharp and resolving as some of the M mount lenses or other sharp lenses.

If you don't have any lenses at all and can afford it, it is good to have the 24mm F1.8 CZ as it is a very versatile lens for general use. 24 x1.5 crops is 36mm - good for general street shots.

Still waiting for bros to advise on the large tab on the Hawk's Helicoid Adapter to see if it's really obstructive for usage. Hmm...
