hi bro,
appreciate yr suggestion. i will go for 28mm f2 then :) for adapter choices, i dont know what differences, but willing to spend as value for money. can educate me adapter opinion? ur recommendation is helicoidal? how about hawk & voigtlander?

D hawk's factory helicoid adapter is quite good but do take note of issues wif d larger tab tat could restrict yr grip on d NEX 7 with d latest version 2.5 adapter.

in sg, where can i find that adapter?

I have a generic helicoidal that I got 2nd-hand from another CSer. Its tolerances are fine, it turns smoothly, and it cuts MFD in about half. Unfortunately I don't know where it was originally purchased. A helicoidal adapter isn't necessary, just desirable if you want to exploit the superb close-focusing capability of the lens.

Think u can only order from eBay. Just search for hawk's factory adapter and u will find d online distributor for hawk's factory. Btw. U can consider Voigtlander 25mm/f0.95 lens. But must do cornerfix to clear CA

hi bros,
i will try to find it then... u guy are awesome and helpful :) many thks for quick reply...

Hello all, I am new to the NEX 7 purchased about 2 months ago and has been using the kit lens and a CCTV lens since. Would like to purchase a wide angle lens for landscape photography and has narrowed down to either the Sigma or Tokina.

Would like to seek your advise that I will need to purchase the LA-EA2 in order to mount either of the mentioned wide angle lens right? And will it auto-focus or do I need to manual focus like the CCTV lens I had?

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Hi, welcome to the nex family. If u are using La-ea2 for the Sigma or Tokina (Alpha mount), they should be able to auto focus like a DSLT.

well, i owned a La-ea2 is abit imba if you carry around with a neck strap or shoulder strap. Holding it in the hand isnt too bad... Mounting on tripod would definitely be ok hahaha... Hmm it would look like something below?
