Hello, may i ask a question, hope it is not a silly one. When using MF lens in nex 7, can the iso setting be less than one stop like 1/2 or 1/3 EV? Please advise.

I dont have NEX7 only A77 but I think ISO stops is not affected by lens you mount but you can set it up according to your preference e.g. 1 stop 1/2/ stop or 1/3 stop EV. Dont know hot to in NEX as I dont have but consult your user guide it should have one

Thanks for the reply. User manual not able to find and configure iso step size smaller than 1 stop. But i saw some photo posted here with iso setting of 1250. Hencevi raise this question.

the shooter must have been shooting with Auto ISO

I kinda of regretted my purchase of the adapter. Made the camera heavier and defeats the purpose of getting NeX as a lightweight camera. Plus the fact that there is no anti shake after putting on the a mount lens ... Thinking of selling away the A mount zeiss lens now...

There is stabilization with Sigma lenses. Also, it allows me to autofocus in dim light much better than the E-mount lenses. Also, it opens up UWA possibilities with say the Sigma 8-16. Sometimes I need the NEX as a lightweight camera, but other times I need it to do a specific job like shoot bugs or UWA landscape. The adapter gives me that flexibility with autofocus.
