Could not resist this purchase when I chanced upon it.
There is only one SLR 50mm lens that is of a Sonnar design (from any company)
So guess who made it. ;)

Personally, I believe in constant practice and cross usability of skill sets.
That strobist work for my kids carry over to usage for model shoots.
The shooting of streets/candids/people is actually the same skill set for capturing my kids and family events.
and vise-versa

Recently, I was asked to help for a close cousin's wedding.
Those skill sets came in handy too.

Taken with the FA*85/1.4;
Certainly of of the best out there for people photography.

IMO, I often hear some guys lament "There is nothing to take".
Then come to actual tours, events, they scramble to get things right due to lack of practice.

So do just shoot more and post more ;)

JK,

You are our inspiration to do better.

2 shots from yesterday, still haven't got the pano head.

This one is a re-shoot to avoid the spotlights at the floating platform, shot from the Helix Bridge.

Have always wanted to shoot these Super Trees straight without perspective distortion, yesterday night gave it a try..

I find myself drawn more to using the v1 Takumar 135/2.5 than the v2 and K version.
