Some of my shots during the AFA 2014 on sunday..
Actually, from your shots, I would rather Pentax don't have FF..
Nothing about your shots at all.. Raher, it's about the lens.. The bokeh damn fugly wide open man...
Wonder how it is at f/2, since that's the closest Zeiss alternative, 50/2 MP, if I really don't like it..
Can try and post a couple of images at f/2? :B
Forget it lah. ..
Money won't solve your problems. ..
All 50mm have situations where the bokeh will not be that good.
Its subjective too, since I find it decent in the situation posted by Ranchy.
The Pentax 50mms are as good as any other out there all things considered.
Size, price, rendering, contrast, optical properties, build
Only thing better about others are that ppl blare the trumpet louder.
Some will be better for one thing or another but the Pentax surely stands firm amongst them.
Pentax A50/1.4
Same optical formula as the FA50/1.4.
Certainly one of the best 50mm f1.4 out there, all factors considered.

True that.. But I guess I'm looking for a smoother bokeh which you shots show unlike Ranchy's..
If by f/2, it's smooth, I can learn how to use it well, rather than the ZK50/2 MP, which has a pretty smooth bokeh throughout.
The ZK50/1.4 is similar with our A50/1.4, but magical once f/2 onwards. Wondering how our 50/1.4 is..
Is your 3rd shot at f/2?
aiyo..ranchy takes pictures of xmm but you all dun want to see..choose to go see the bokeh??? :dunno:
:sweat::sweat::sweat:
I do find the bokeh not bad..
Think i better stop shooting XMM. later people see me all siam.....
Last two with more bokeh :X
Isolation with shallow dof, and add that with lighting to light up the subject more than the ambient.
I think it's well done.
