Nope, I use the flash with the receiver. Was just trying out those disposable bowl attached on the flash. Somehow it works for me. :)

I like the way you left breathing space in the macro shots to show off a bit of the space around the insects.
 

Nope, I use the flash with the receiver. Was just trying out those disposable bowl attached on the flash. Somehow it works for me. :)

Thsnks! I guessed I was force to do it to a certain extend as I have a fixed distance of focus and less than 1:1 macro, that leads to me doing certain cropping. For smaller object, I will have to add extension next time. :)

We should really organize an outing for this next year with pot-luck gathering as well (or on rehearsal day). :)

On the pict, there seems to a lot of distortion on the tower on the left.
Was it because of stretching and pulling to correct perspective & keystone distortion?

Below is the 100% crop of the shot before the fireworks, no stretching or pulling, it was framed with both axis aligned, 10mm is able to cover MBS and Custom House within frame, no tilting required hence no perspective distortion. :) After confirmed the framing, the tripod is fixed at that spot with no more adjustment.
