The A* is better. ...

Nice oof rendering.
Also more than 1stop diff in dof and light gathering.
Add to that its rare status.

Too bad its collectors item status now in price.

haha..seriously for the price of the A* now, i think i can settle for the '2nd best' pentax 135mm lens for now...
 

Man.. Pentax really need to redo their A* 135 for us man!!!

Ha..ha..
Actually the F and FA135/2.8 is a hidden gem.
Other than it being prone to PF, its darn sharp, very contrasty, has the nearest min focus distance of all the Pentax 135mm, internal focus, built in Hood, small and AF.
