Photos seems not very sharp, waht could be the reasons ? request and thanks for your comments.

Trying to go very simple with lighting to see how it works out.
Flash on right, bounced off a white cloth.
Reflector on left.

The shadowed side will not be so dark.
Best to just try it out and you will see the difference.
No right or wrong to not using a reflector though, just preference.

A white piece of 'something' works too, so don't need to buy a reflector 1st to try.

A reflector on the left can act as a secondary light source allowing to reduce the shadows/dark area. something similar to ratio lighting concept. having strong or light shadows (subjected to personal taste) can give a better 3D effect on the subject.

I recently joined the Pentax group and bought a used Kr with FA50/1.4 lens. Here's one I tried with Raynox DCR250:
