My few cents.
One of the first thing to think over is simplifying the elements in a photo, leaving out things that do not add to the photo.
Cropping off the dark parts would help.

Hi pinholecam, thx for your guidance! Really appreciate it. I am kinda new to post processing as usually I just do the normal resize and sharpen, but for this photo i tried to remove the bridge at the bottom left of the photo to no avail so I tried to darken the bottom. Gotta try cropping off the bottom and the right side of the photo to see if it looks nicer! thx alot pinholecam...

"Today Punggol Sunset", I was reaching there around 6.40Pm ,the Sun was bright so I decided to find a good angle for today sunset but.........the sky turn dark suddenly n started raining ......sad
