Finally I got my hand in one of the princess series, still try to figure out how to bring out the 3d effects :bsmilie:

You'd certainly need better light for the 3D effect

Nice shot and model. (paid model?)
On 35mm FF, it will give less DOF, but can still add to nothing if DOF is already shallow enough (MHO anyway).
It does seem to be less DOF on these shots than what I'd get with this lens for half body or full body on APS-C, which is certainly not as good compared to say a 85/1.4 or 85/2.
Personally, I think this lens excels on smaller subjects at f1.2
The swirly bokeh I think is because of the palm leaves.

Thanks JK. It's a paid shoot. Btw I just realized that my Revuenon's aperture lever doesn't move when I change the aperture ring, so can't use open aperture metering on K mount film camera
Does every third party K mount lens behave like this?

The black bkgnd is good as well. No specular highlights on the black table surface,

Thanks Jk . It was taken with k5+ dfa100 and one flash with seefei/OTC paper plate . No special setup .

Thanks Bro, yes lot of testing recently, need to figure out how to bring out the best of the lens. I'm left with only da35 f2.4 and this lens at the moment...

Have a look in flickr and other photo sites. Look at how ppl shot w/ this lens.
Eg.
Subject matter (large/small/objects/ppl)
Lighting (side, direct, back, etc)
Typical f-stop used
