Photos from 8D7N Hanoi Halong Bay & Sapa Valley Photography Trek

While waiting for some more photos from everyone here,
here is some more side entertainment.
Here's a click-able photo...

Can't resist not to upload my photos of the Ha Long Bay after seeing those superb shots from limwhow and the others

Did ask my son on how to create the black border surrounding the pix to have better visual effect on the photos....too many steps involved in PP... give up so photos still very conservative and bland

@SereneXMM, I love this shot. It's simple inspired!

Just want to correct the name of the province: Ninh Binh, not Nim Binh

Apologise as I shared this before. Taken in the traditional Asian quarter.

What caught me was the glowing lights shining thru the clothes. Can someone verify are this custome called Ao Dai ?

No. It's called "Áo Bà Ba". It's common in southern Vietnam.

Wa, doc's orders! I will post up a few later - chronological order, so it will lag your travelogue and how this thread is progressing.

Really enjoyed looking at all the photos and reading the commentary. Wished I could have joined all of you!!!!
Hi, Euterpe! Thanks for coming by.
You are still around. I thought you would have been out enjoying yourself far South-West by now... hahaha...!

Sounds great, acpical!
Well, our friend Euterpe is still here, so we'd better post some more before Euterpe decides to venture off....!

Well, anyway...

T R A V E L O G U E ~ Day 4 Halong Bay - Hanoi - Sapa

While we are waiting for acpical, stevepow and divinemoment to recover from their post World-Cup sleep deprivation
and begin to post more of their photos, we shall just move along.
The next morning, we toured Monkey Island without monkeys (despite the non-stop efforts of our lady rower and Tommy
in whistling and throwing bread). The view was still good. And the sun began to come out to disperse much of the
mist surrounding us the day before.

limwhow #107
In her straw hat and bright blue blouse, our cheerful lady rower took us across turquoise green waters in splendid weather
to the Monkey Islands. No problem not having monkeys around. They must have had a little too much to drink
the night before.

Tommy is his usual monkey self.
The peaceful, serene and almost silent environment is something that one doesn't usually come across.
Except for the splash of water on oars and the occasional bird chirping, it's simply lovely just to be here.

limwhow #109
We need not necessarily have monkeys to see. All of us were quietly sitting in the row boat, soaking up the atmosphere,
the calm of which was broken by the snapping of the shutter by none other than our good acpical at one end of the boat...

limwhow #110
From afar, we can see the only other boat around...

... and of course, our lovely 21 year old Ms Van, who served us our food on board Bai Tu Long.
And here she doubled up as the model for our incessant thirst for portrait shoots.
She was merely looking ahead here....

This Ms Van was very timid. And she has a quiet kind of beauty. I like the way the sunlight catches her hair and the wind blows it.

Our coxswain for the Bum Boat back to Bai Tu Long - Mr Trong.
He just happened to be Ms Van's boy friend.
She was very shy when limwhow asked her if Trong was her husband or not. keke..:)

We reached the Bai Tu Long office on shore. And we waited for the minivan back to Hanoi to go to Sapa.

Hi Captain Juker! Thank you so much for your compliments :D!
You must go back to Vietnam again to shoot.
Keke... I heard SgTrekker organising a Vietnam Phototrek, but this time round specially for Sapa one. Sounds good.... keke!

Thank you Trau-nuoc. At least in your country there is some kind of "National Costume Identity." Here, everything goes.

Helen! Great to have you rendezvous up here.
You know something, Adrian is not a drill sergeant as chubbykey remarked. He is a slave driver. Hahaha...
Anyone going for Adrian's trip will find that his/her trip doesn't just start/stop at the airport.
No, Ma'am, no.
It only comes to a full stop with the completion of the 'rites of photo postings'.
Hahahaha... joking joking....
