Haha I'm planning to shoot MF and RF. Hope the itinerary and costs will be finalised soon.

Yup. Hopefully soon. Valance now getting us a guide. Don't know how much it cost. For the hotel, we still aren't sure. You guys got any good recommendation where to stay there? If not, we'll just get from tripadvisor.com. For the itinerary, we need to meet up to get general consensus. Never been there so need as much ideas as we can. I think budse has posted a very good info on Cambodia. For sure we will skip some temples coz too much of it it'll become boring. A 'die-die' must go spot that I can think of

Siem Reap
1) Angkor Wat
2) Angkor Thom
3) Bayon Temple
4) Ta Prohm Temple
5) Kulen Mountain National Park (Holy waterfall)
6) Tonle Sap (fishing village / lake)
7) Angkor Archaeological Park (Town, night market, Pub Street, nightlife)

Phnom Penh
1) Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (Torture school)
2) Choeung Ek Memorial (The Killing Fields)
3) Street 178 & 240 (Including the Independance Monument, Silver Pagoda)
4) Central market, Russian Market, Night Market

Are these too much? Any other ideas open to the floor.

will be interested if there is at least 1 female enthusiast going!

Hi Yiggiepoo. Why not get your friends to come along? Its free and easy but we need to stay together. My first time travelling so far north!

Most of my girl friends are not really interested in Cambodia or either that they are schooling.
maybe I can try searching in flowerpod forum and see if anyone is interested.

When are u guys going to book the flight?
And roughly the total expenditure for this trip?
Cos I'm still a student and I wanna make sure the budget u guys set is within my budget too.

Ok, since quite a number has been asking about the total cost. Lets open this till end of the week before we do a more accurate cost. I am now rounding off figures in my head based on 5 participants;

(All in SGD after conversion and rounded off to the nearest higher value)
1) Flight - $330 (inlc airport tax)
2) Hotels (5 nights) - 5 X $30 = $150
3) Guide (per day)- 5d X $30 = $150. 150 / 5 (participants) = $30
4) Transportation (van/4WD) = $50 per day. 50/5 (participants) = $10
5) Temple Pass (3days) = $50
6) Bus (to Phnom Penh) = $15

Inititial estimated cost = $585 - $600
(Not inclusive of personal shopping, foods, others)

All these can be reduced significantly if we cut down the cost of the guides and uses of van as transportation everyday. An also, we can get a similiar quality hotel at a cheaper price that Valance75 had earlier mentioned about USD 14 (SGD 17) per night instead of SGD 30 as above.

Aiyoh. I hope you guys get what I mean. I'm getting confused already. Did I miss anything?

@Shahrie:

- we could reduce some more if we buy 1 day temple (angkor wat) pass as we might go there only for a day instead.
- each van or 4WD can be ride by how many person?
- i believe additional USD 25 for Cambodia airport tax while we depart from Cambodia

Yes budse. We could just go with a 1 day pass at the temples which will just cost USD 20. Because on the day when we are buying the pass, that evening, we can already go into Angkor Wat. Then followed by a sunrise temple shoot the next morning, and we can have a full day visit that day. And also a photo pass will not be required for a 1 day pass unlike the 3 day or 6 days pass.

I have also acquired several Cambodia brochures from a local travel company but have yet to go through them. In the next few days, I will list their itineraries and see whether it suit us.

I can see that there is really much effort put in to organize this trip..am really looking forward to it..I really need a break from work and a breath of fresh air on other people's land..

Ok bro. I found a hotel which is cheap, have the 'Cambodian' feeling, relaxing, near to the Old Market and great reviews. Check this out. Guys, you might want to consider this.

Looks good, I'm fine with it. But gotta get the general consensus before deciding...
