how small is small? and since you are a photostockist, does that mean that you represent a photo stock library? and the photos will be used there?

Hi there,
PM you already , Please reply stating your requirements, the quality ,and price for this assisgnment

Small meaning?

$10? $20?

or a packet of peanuts maybe? :dunno:

well... u pay peanuts.. u get monkeys.. simple as that.. :)

Off topic..

Wei wei...have you guys forgotten someone was paid peanuts not so long ago like hmm 600k per year?? :P

Hehehe.. Dun insult peanuts :P

Please state the job scope and payment.

Eg shooting runners as they pass finishing or passing a location.

Cause covering something like that can easily take up to 10k shots if covering multiple events such as the 10k and 42k finishings and can take close to 10 hours of work from 42km flag off till last runner in.

Regards
Kenneth

Hi,

Have PMed you.

Regards.

you guys might wanna try www.photostockist.com

If i'm not wrong, we upload the pictures taken to this site and then wait  for participants to purchase them. Per pic sold is USD6.00, photographer gets USD3.00.

hmm...Good idea..Shall we organise such photoshoot and sell the pic? LOL

so lets say i pay 20 guys S$10 to shoot, that would be S$200
and each photographer takes 100 pictures each,
that would give me 2000 images to sell.

and 10% buy rate would be 200 images sold at US$3 each
will net me US$600
factor in a 1.7 exchange rate will be S$1020.
Minus my cost of S$200 for the photographers
will make me a profit of S$820.

hmmmmm ....

Hi,

Did any of you received confirmation as the photographer?

I didnt heard from the thread starter since his/her first reply via PM.

Regards

I received PM from threadstarter. He/she said that they have decided to open the event to all. So anyone can just take pics and then upload to their website. If got pple buy, we get US$3.00. They pay us via Paypal. One thing is we have to wait till our sales hit US$30.00 then can cash out from PayPal.............:dunno:

another scam in d making. :nono:

beware.

Hi Guys seeing that there are interest I shall explain why I made a comment in the thread in the frist place so that nobody gets short changed.

I have shot at marathons before and its no joke, hard work. You shoot until you camera hang even from the heat and shear continus shooting. Bloody proves that Canon build quality stuff considering the abuse. Anyway..

Firstly you cant just take snap shots you need to cpture the tag number. And you increase you chance of people buying your pict you will need to capture more runners. And you are thanking about thousands of runners.

It may be worth while to shoot for photostocklist if they are the official phtography site for the event if not who will even know? Everyboy will just goto marathonphotos.com who covers marathons all over the world.

Even they pay only $300-$500 which I feel is not even enough for the repair you may need to do heh heh..

So do consider wisely.

I liked the concept that this chap is offering. Another way of earning pocket change , while the subjects need not go hunting for the photographers for their shots and gets upset when we ask for $.

However, I am amazed that it is not very forthcoming in introducing themselves, their registered business address, RCB no. & contact numbers.

As a business owner, I would be proud to tell my customers and suppliers where I am , even working from home (which is nothing wrong & be proud of)

what if they are not honest in disclosing their sales of photos?:dunno:
We also lose out.
