1) Open up the back panal and look at the bottom right hand corner.

2) You should see a black cover/box secured with 4 screws.

3) Remove the top 2 and bottom right screw but only loosen the bottom left screw

4) Swing open the top cover.

5) There is suppose to be a counter there.

6) It's in the form of a little green man/woman/whatever who keeps track of the warranty countdown.

7) If you don't see him/her/it there, that means warranty over already and he/she/it have gone back to HP to report it.

That was in the old days. Now the little green man/woman/whatever is the one who fix minor faults during the warranty. That why IT stuff konk up once the warranty is over. No more "On-Board-Repair-System"
