white/black layer, change to maybe 30% transparency(becomes grey liao)
then u sholwy erase...
quite a slow process but hey, it works.

or brush with feather and create on new layer + opacity 30% ?

:bsmilie: then it is up to ur imagination. wat i told u is only one layer. u can add multiple layers and play with the transparency level. this is the easiest and fastest way to get PS smoke.


there are many ways in PS to get the same effect. wat u mention is again, another way...

i got this idea. use another image as background,set transparency, and trace the smoke out, and export the line works to photoshop. and render. sounds mafan... but i think urs then again is more effective den my tracing method.. :thumbsup:
