ykia said:Hi all, been really busy & had a nasty cold on Mon, ok now.
Jopel: Sorry to hear that your son is ill, hope & pray that your son will be ok.
Wai: Do you still want the EC-D if it's <= HK$200? Will check this thread again at 3pm to confirm. Thanks for the TC-80N3 update (and to YQT also)!
Venom22: The Speedlite 430 is about HK$2300, but won't buy as I may not see your response.
Sjourn: Miscomm: I found the shop, but not the Seagull. This is the shop opposite TC with all the Canon boxes in the window. I don't think the Canon stuff there is "water". Also found this post with more shops in HK. Welcome back to S'pore in a few days and best regards if I don't see you.
Yamlo: Take care of Ryan. Do you have an air purifier in his room?
Phillip: :embrass: Read too fast, ok, keep saving! But if snapping zomming aircrafts is your thing, then 20D's 5fps may be more suitable rather than 350D's 3fps, maybe?

ykia said:I'm guessing you are not asking about how much is your current car worth (i.e. the info at www.lta.gov.sg).
This is what I did:
Assume current car:
Buy at $120K, scrap/resell at $50K after five years, so ($120K-$50K)/5=$14K/year "loss".
New car:
Buy at $80K, scrap/resell at $30K after estimated five years, so ($80K-$30K)/5=$10K/yr "loss".
Therefore $14K-$10K=$4K/year "saved" in depreciation is the imputed value of your decision. If projected over the five year period, then it will be total of $20K "saved".
