what software to 'stitch' a series of photos to make a panorama?

what to do, my classmates mostly 19-20 year old kids, the eldest one is leaving school soon, makes me feel even older :(

I used to have the canon stitch software, but after installing it last night, tried to run it, showed me missing *.dll file.(will update the filename later tonight when home)
 

anyone know where I can borrow/rent a 1 meter tall light tent/similiar thing?

why not just use the NLPC studio? since the stuff are not really used these days ...
 

the stuff I want to take is quite heavy.. it's easier to bring the shooting equipment there instead of my subject to the studio.

1m tall light tent is hard to find. What do you want to shoot? Usually we "build" it in the studio with tracing paper and reflector.
