Photo sharing thread from GR :)

anyone knows where is the official Rioch GR thread where we can discuss. seems missing.

Wanted to ask about the wooden grip if it's available?

I wish Ricoh came out with a 40mm like the GRD series, it be perfect setup for me man!

... Did you use AF or did MF with the Raynox attached?

Seems like the IQ is still very much preserved with the pairing. Of course, if you have got the A12 50, you don't really need to do this. Alternatively for a closeup, maybe can try M-mount extension tubes on the GXR A12 M? Might be interesting. ;-)
..
If the lighting is good, I don't see any different in AF speed at macro range between GR alone and GR + Raynox. However, I tend to switch to manual focus and move camera back and forth for faster macro focusing especially when focus to small details! I'm very surprise on the details that GR + Raynox could capture! Could not replace the A12 50/2.5 macro module on magnification but the details wise is fine. Very convenient when you want to bring only 1 camera with you! :)

Never try extension tube on GXR M but did shoot macro with GXR M and CZ Jena 135/3.5 + raynox (more than 1:1 macro) and the result was acceptable!

Hey guys, just bought my first ever Ricoh. The GR, awesome little camera. Here are some shots from my first spin with it.

Ranchy, is that the use of original ambient brightness? Feels almost like my film shots!!

I guess Ranchy was using the Positive Film mode. I've tried the original ambient brightness and could only see that the photo look a bit more vignetting than normal brightness!

This is my photo taken in positive film jpeg mode at ISO1000 without any noise reduction. I also set the vignetting to strong in camera for this shot. Straight out of camera Jpeg. Looks quite like film to me! :)
