hi kthan.. nice sun burst wor.. u cropped it? hmm.. for me..

It's uncropped and untouched. direct scan from the photo. Waisj and Beivied have seen the prints and they look much better than the digital output.

dun worry about comments. everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

btw, your good friend desperately looking for PT-015 and C5050 everywhere. Someone bot $550 with 7 mths warranty and she claimed it too ex. Ai pi ai qi ai tua ki.

hmm ic.. coz the pic seems not the standard print size leh..??!!!

err.. r u refering to the posts in fins? [My friend just bought a 5050, plus memory card and charger and battery for $650. Only 7mths old. No housing though as she's a non-diver. Good deal??]

think its $650 lah w 5 mths warranty left...

anyway.. think most ppl got it around 500 to 600plus.. depend the condition and warranty status loh...

don't be so explicit as to pin point who lah.....many people here still dunno who is yr good friend.

haha... ok lah.. nothing to hide mah.. hohohoho :D

::off topic::

Hey Eric, Finally you're back :D ... Yeah finally got it right with digital .... 1/1000 heh... never knew that.

Oh... you should post a higher res/better scanned photo of the sun burst. It ain't doin' the photo any credit. ;)

Printed version was tack sharp, i can barely see the streaks here.

my holga effect sunburst..

how?
want to know if this picture works on its own
or a subject is needed?

how would u suggest to improve this shot. No PS (the black frames are not borders they are a result of horrendous scanning work haha), brainlessly scanned from slides.

I love it.. Absolutely. The streaks are nice.. So hard to get a wide angle shot properly actually. So many factors involved

Too bad the foreground and the fish were not lit up. time for more powerful strobes

nice. streaks and sunburst like this help to bring out the silhouette of the reef.

perhaps u hv the sunburst closer to the reef? or streaks coming out of the reef wall?

xie xie...

powerful strobes??? i can live with silhouetted shots! perfect them first.

Thanks Kthan, what u mean sunburst closer to the reef?
And hard to position such that the rays burst from the reef. dunnno how to set exposure correctly still... dive dive dive try try try

As for Kthan's suggestion, maybe this??

waisj, do square format... :) too much empty space at the bottom.... hoho..

u notice mine looks like there's 'vignetting' at the corners. so perhaps my aperture too small (or shutter speed too fast)
but if i open up the aperture? the sunburst don't look like a burst.. how? what shd i have done..

wah... sweat.. so many nice nice photos coming out.. no time to see all.. ;p

hmm dtan.. i think its ok to hav the vignetting part.. its blended in with the pic.. and "created" a frame for it.. nice to me.. ;p

yaya.. waisj.. do a square one.. then tell ppl u use medium format cam to dive.. hohoho.. ;p

Thought this will be an interesting shot. Capturing sunburst & at the same time strobe filled foreground subject.

Shot data:
Nikonos V + 15mm, YS50 (Full power). f 5.6, 1/90.

super shot...

looks like the anglerfish having a grand time suntanning..

 wah nice! the sunray like spraying out!
