Look At The Pretty Colours

This one didn't come out as I envisioned. Nice colours but too many competing elements.

Some more from me..:D

Tks Ben for giving me a chance to try out this lens..( FA 85 1.4 )..
some try shots taken with this..

The Star Eighty Five One Point Four is up for grabs.;p

Thanks Lawrence for the shot. Looks like I put up too much weight lately. Ben, we should stop drinking too much beer I guess :embrass:

You been jogging daily and should not gain much, except the food you had.:bsmilie:

Yeah, I've been eating like I was still 20 something :embrass: I think I should cut down on food and do more exercise. Marathon is coming in 2 months. Hopefully I can put myself in full training so I can shake off some extra fat ;p

Very nice shots and PP.
I had the same lens, and I simply could not conceive any shots with it :( . Thats why I quickly switched to the macro lens. :)

These results from M85 look great! It's one of the hidden gem from Pentax I think :)

Thanks.
I'd certainly recommend it as the poor pentaxian's portrait lens.
Perhaps when I have a chance, I will compare it against the FA* and maybe the A*
I do suspect its quite up there against its other Pentax brethren portrait lenses for real world picture taking.

some reference.

Thanks bro. Come to think of it, I tend to see light and texture potential for PP first rather than compositional. The wideness of the lens help when I need to crop for composition later on. ;)

Onwards to Pentaxian Candids.

That's all from me. I have some from-the-hip street shots, but I'm saving those for a future stand alone thread.

Wow wow wow! All fantastic closeup shots.

But i must say, Baracus : your photos are amazing!

I second that! Great compositions and colour processing. I was at the same place early in the year but my shots are more like family snapshots..none of these really great expressions.

But the others' photos are good too! :) Everyone seems to be having fun...

Wootz so many nice photos

Hi Baracus,
I love the tone and saturation of this photography.

Is it pp? Wonder if you can share the setting to do this shot?

Thanks

Thank you Noel, Ben and airconvent. Just one of those days where the lighting is just right. :)

It's PP definitely. ;)

I shot it on Av Mode with slight underexposure in JPEG. I mixed some presets in LR2 and tweaked it until I got this final result. I think I could control the highlights better if I had shot in RAW.

im surprises many din explore the convenience of lightroom presets, 1 click and u can turn a ordinary pic into an art piece...:bsmilie:

Okay, here are some of my macros. Didn't shoot much, just a few:
